A26 autoroute

The A26 (Autoroute des Anglais) is a French motorway connecting Calais and Troyes.

It starts at Calais, on the A16 autoroute (L'Européenne (Paris to Belgium)) and the A216 autoroute (A26 autoroute to Car Ferries) by Calais' ports and ends on the A5 autoroute (Paris to Chaumont) in the east of Troyes. It also merges with the A4 autoroute (Autoroute de l'Est (Paris to Strasbourg)) for 36 kilometres before splitting up near Châlons en Champagne (formerly Châlons-sur-Marne) and heading south towards Troyes. It is a total of 394 km and passes Saint-Omer, Béthune, Arras, Lens, Saint-Quentin, Laon, Châlons-en-Champagne and Troyes.

Future

The A26 should be extended towards Auxerre and Bourges.
