Ajax Orlando Prospects is an American
soccer club, based in
Orlando, Florida, which currently participates in the
Premier Development League, an amateur league at the lowest rung of the
United States soccer pyramid.
The Ajax Orlando Prospects are loosely affiliated with the renowned football club
Ajax Amsterdam, as an extension of the Dutch giant's marketing and player development reach into what is seen as a potentially lucrative American market. Because the team is not professional, however, it is unlikely to be sending players to the Dutch club any time soon, as has similar South African club
Ajax Cape Town.
