Aliaga, Nueva Ecija

Aliaga is a 4th class municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija on Luzon,, Philippines, about 70 m. N. by W. of Manila. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 50,004 people (in 1903 only 11,950) in 9,849 households.

It has a comparatively cool and healthful climate, and is pleasantly situated about midway between the Pampanga Grande and the Pampanga Chico rivers, and in a large and fertile valley of which the principal products are Indian corn, rice, sugar and tobacco. Tagalog is the most important language; Ilocano, Pampango and Pangasinan are also used.
