The word
amphibious or
amphibian, when used alone, has several possible meanings in the
English language.
When used by itself it can refer to:
*A vertebrate animal of the Class
Amphibia.
*An
amphibian vehicle, i.e. a vehicle capable of being driven on both land and water.
*A type of
seaplane capable of being operated from either land or water.
*
Amphibious warfare*Having a mixed or twofold nature, such as an employee who is equally comfortable working with technical staff or business-minded management.
