Anand Bhatt

New millennium record executive and producer, prior to the mid 2000's, Anand Bhatt (born December 17, 1975) was mainly known as a Grammy-recognized musical talent in Rock and Pop. Born in Chicago, Anand Bhatt is one of the first Indian Americans to break into success in the music industry (the other two are Tony Kanal from No Doubt and Kim Thayil from Soundgarden). Having earned a reputation as a jazz sitar player and a heavy metal guitar player endorsing Jackson guitars, Bhatt has branched out to an ever-growing variety of modern electric music. He plays hardcore tribal music with Anand Clique, aggressive industrial music with Project 44, and improvisational music in the duo A&A, which he shares with Anand Clique guitarist Ryba. A popular collaboration of Bhatt's is working with Faith No More guitarist Jim Martin, one of his early influences. Bhatt has also been involved with films as a composer and actor.

Holding a Master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Bhatt is currently CEO & Executive Producer of Sonic Wave International Entertainment Group whose companies boast a vast roster of titles from multiple genres, including the popular rapper Knoc-turn'al. Bhatt is also a board member and directing manager of Sonic Wave America, the sub-label in the Sony BMG distribution system.
