Anath

Anath was the mother of Shamgar who was the third judge of Israel. Anath (or Anat) was the West Semitic goddess of love and battle who was worshipped (as Anath-Yahu and Anath-Beth-El) with Adonai in the Hebrew Temple at Elephantine in Egypt. See the Wikipedia article on Anat for full details, particularly the section entitled ‘Anat in Israel.

Many early West Semitic warriors claimed to be "the son of Anath" and this is thought to be a military honour rather than a claim of divine descent.
