"Antelope Horn" is a popular term for a member of the milkweed family, asclepias asperula. The name is attributed to the fact that the leaves and pods of the plant both slightly suggest the curve of an antelope's horn. The individual unopened buds of this globe-shaped cluster of flowers each resembles a waxy, pale green star. When the blossoms open fully, they remain in a globe-shaped cluster. Very drought-tolerant.
