Antimony pentafluoride, SbF5 is an antimony and fluorine compound that normally appears as a colourless liquid. It is an extremely corrosive and toxic substance and will violently react with water, forming hydrogen fluoride. When the substance is heated or burned, it decomposes and releases corrosive fumes into the air. It can cause the eyes, skin and lungs to corrode and lead to a number of negative effects such as burns and lung oedema. [1]

It is a Lewis acid, and a component of fluoroantimonic acid, the strongest known superacid.
