As`ad AbuKhalil



As`ad AbuKhalil (born March 16, 1960) is a professor of political science at California State University, Stanislaus and visiting professor at University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of several books and well known for his blog called The Angry Arab News Service. AbuKhalil was born in Tyre, Lebanon, and grew up in Beirut. He received his BA and MA in Political Science from American University of Beirut, and a PhD in Comparative Government from Georgetown University. He has taught at Tufts University, Georgetown University, George Washington University, Colorado College, and Randolph-Macon Woman's College. In his blog, he describes himself as an "atheist secularist".
