Berlyn Brixner
Berlyn B. Brixner (b.
1911) is best known as being the head photographer for the
Trinity test, the first detonation of a
nuclear weapon in July 1945. Brixner himself was stationed 10,000 yards away from the explosion itself, but had around 50 cameras of different speeds running from different locations to capture the shot in full motion. Most photographs of the test were set up, arranged, and prepared by Brixner.
