Bishops Cannings

Bishops Cannings is a village and civil parish in the Vale of Pewsey in the English county of Wiltshire. The parish is the third largest in Wiltshire, and includes the settlements of Coate, Horton, Bourton and Easton in addition to Bishops Cannings itself. In the Census 2001 the parish had a population of 1,566.

Local government

Bishops Cannings is a civil parish with an elected parish council. It falls within the areas of Kennet District Council and Wiltshire County Council. All three councils are responsible for different aspects of local government.
