Bob Budiansky

Bob Budiansky is a comic book writer, best known for his work on the Transformers comic. He also created the Marvel character Sleepwalker and wrote all 33 issues of that comic.

Bob Budiansky is considered a "father" of Transformers lore. He was part of the birth of the line that celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2004. Responsible for much of writing of the original Marvel Transformer comic, Bob went on to become a legend among Transformers fans.

Amongst his greatest accomplishments, Bob created the actual names of several Transformers which have gone on to become household icons amongst fans around the world. Decepticon leader Megatron, Autobot medic Ratchet, Decepticon Ravage are just a few Bob was responsible for creating.

It was announced at the San Diego Comic-Convention recently that Budiansky would be writing an adaptation of the original Transformers movie for IDW publishing in honour of the film's 20th anniversary.
