Brandesburton

Brandesburton is a village and civil parish in the government district of East Riding of Yorkshire, about seven miles west of Hornsea and nine miles north-east of Beverley. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 1348.

St Mary's Church is built out of cobbles with a brick clerestory and south porch. It exhibits Norman work from the 15th century onwards, which is when the tower was built.

Brandesburton is now known for the Billabong Jet Ski centre which operates throughout the year, the Hainsworth Park Golf Club, The Burton Lodge Hotel and The Dacre Lakeside camping and Caravan Park, which make it a relatively popular holiday destination.

Remains of mammoths and prehistoric elephant tusks have been discovered near the village.
