Climax Group

Climax is a global independent video game development company with four studios.

Climax was founded in 1988 and has grown steadily into one of the world's leading independent developers of interactive software. Made up of three divisions each focusing on a single game genre: Handheld, Action and Racing.

Climax has released many games for all the major consoles: Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance, and Microsoft Xbox.

Using its own proprietary software tools and technology, Climax has developed a string of titles some critically acclaimed and commercially successful games for many of the major interactive software publishers. The company's highest profile and highest scoring games are: MotoGP: Ultimate Racing Technology series for Xbox, Xbox Live! and PC and ATV Offroad Fury 3 on PlayStation 2.

Climax is currently developing Silent Hill: Origins for the Sony PlayStation Portable, which is due out in North America during the fourth quarter of 2006. This will be the first time that a studio has developed a Silent Hill other than Team Silent.
