Criterion



A criterion is a condition/rule which enable a choice, therefore upon which a decision or judgment can be based (the plural is criteria). See cognitive decision making

Among articles whose title contains this word are the following:
* The Criterion Collection, a series of collector's edition DVDs.
* Criterion technology, a company in Colorado.
* Criterion Software, a game technology company.
* Criterion Theatre, a theatre in London's West End.

In mathematics, a number of criteria are named after people:
* Eisenstein's criterion
