Cronkhill, a country house in Shropshire near Shrewsbury, was designed by John Nash about 1802A design was exhibited at the Royal Academy, 1802, as a "house near Shrewsbury" (Howard Colvin). for the second Lord Berwick, The patron was not Lord Berwick's agent and friend, Francis Walford, as reported by Colvin, for Walford was not appointed until 1804 ('Domesday Book: 1750-1875', A History of the County of Shropshire: Volume 4: Agriculture (1989), pp. 168-231. The house is one of the incunabula of Italianate architecture in Great Britain.
