The Division of Denison, Tasmania is one of the 5 electorates in the Tasmanian House of Assembly or lower house. The division was created in 1903 and is named for Sir William Denison, who was Lt-Governor of Van Diemens Land 1847-55. The division shares its name and boundaries with the federal division of Denision. At each state election; five members are elected to Denison through preference voting (see single transferable vote).

The division is located on the western side of the Derwent River with in the Greater Hobart area and includes City of Hobart, City of Glenorchy and the suburban areas of Moonah, Battery Point, Sandy Bay and Taroona. Covering an area of 221 km² it is the smallest of the five electoral divisions.

The electorate has the highest Green vote in Tasmania. The Australian Labor Party polls strongly in Glenorchy and Moonah, where as the Greens and Liberals obtain most of their votes in Hobart and Sandy Bay.
