The
Doppelmayr Garaventa Group is based in
Wolfurt,
Vorarlberg,
Austria with offices worldwide. In
1996 it took over
Von Roll Seilbahnen AG and Garaventa was acquired in
2002.
Doppelmayr's products include reversible ropeways (
aerial tramways),
gondolas and fixed grip and detachable high speed
chairlifts. Other products include various other ropeway products, surface lifts,
funitels and
funiculars.
DCC Doppelmayr Cable Car, APM Systems builds linear shuttles as you find at some airports. Their Input Projektentwicklungs GmbH division produces amusement rides named Sky Gliders and Mountain Glider. They also produce material transport systems and warehouse technology.
Up to December of 2005, the Doppelmayr Garaventa Group has produced 13,500 ropeway installations.
