East Greenland Current

Cattle Decapitation, currently signed to Metal Blade Records, is a San Diego, California-based deathgrind band. Originally founded in 1996, Cattle Decapitation's songs protest the mistreatment and human consumption of animals as well as the abuse of the environment. All members of the group are vegetarians, as displayed by their consistent usage of animal rights oriented lyrics, despite the loss of the majority of original members. Through the use of "shocking" lyrical content (that is, gore and violence infested-"gross out" lyrics) the members of the band aim to deter fellow humans from consuming any meat or wear/use any animal derived products.
