FA Cup 2006-07

The FA Cup 2006-07 will be the 126th staging of the world's oldest football knockout competition, the Football Association Challenge Cup, or FA Cup.

The competition will start on 19 August 2006 with the first of the record 687 teams entering in the Extra Preliminary Round and conclude on 19 May 2007 with the Final. As with the previous year's competition, this was originally scheduled to be at the new Wembley Stadium; however the completion date for this is unlikely to be before the Final, so once again it will be moved to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

The draws for the Extra Preliminary, Preliminary, and First Qualifiying Rounds were made on 7 July 2006 at the Football Association's headquarters.
