Fullerton High School, California
Fullerton High School is a
high school located in
Fullerton, California,
United States. Its current principal is Cathy Gach.
Fullerton High School was first established in
1893 as Fullerton Union High School, in a single room of Fullerton Elementary School. Enrollment for the first year was only eight students. By
1908, enrollment had increased enough to require the high school to move to its own facilities in Amerige Park. In
1910 another building was built to ease overcrowding, but on
November 17 of that year, the older building burnt to the ground. Classes were held in the new building and tents for the remainder of that school year.
The present site of the school was purchased in
1911 and the former site was sold to the city of Fullerton. The original buildings built on the site no longer stand, as the facilities have undergone extensive modification and addition over the years to meet the needs of the school's student population.
