Fulpmes

Fulpmes is the center of the iron production area of the Tyrolese Stubaital (Austria). The population is currently around 4,000, of which 700 of these are not of Austrian nationality.Fulpmes lies at the base of the Schlick 2000 complex mountain, which has its own chairlift service and many skiing activities in the Winter.

Location

The municipality belongs to the district (Bezirk) Innsbruck Land. The area is 16 square kilometers. The elevation is 936 m.

The neighboring municipalities are Neustift in the west and Telfes and Mieders in the east.

Fulpmes is the terminal station of the narrow-gauge railway Stubaitalbahn from Innsbruck.

Fulpmes is known for the skiing resort Schlick2000.
