Get Carter (2000 film)
Get Carter is a
2000 remake of the classic
1971 Michael Caine crime thriller, this time with
Sylvester Stallone in the role of Jack Carter, and directed by
Stephen Kay. It was poorly received, especially by critics, who felt that it failed to live up to the original. It is considered by some to be the worst remake movie ever made, and was a spectacular failure at the box office with worldwide takings of approximately US$19 million coming well under the production budget of $63.6 million.
