Growling
Growling may refer to:
*The low,
guttural vocalization produced by
predatory animals as a
warning to others, as a sign of
aggression, or to express
anger.

singing technique producing a rough, guttural sound similar to an animal growl or roar. Growling is most commonly used in a deep
register. The genre of
death metal is especially famous for its traditional growling vocals. Growling is also used (albeit in a different form) in
other metal genres as well as
jazz and
blues.
