Hans Christian Ostrø
Hans Christian Ostrø, a
Norwegian tourist, was kidnapped together with six other Westerners in
Kashmir between
4 and
8 July 1995. The others were John Childs (USA),
Dirk Hasert (Germany), Donald Hutchins (USA), Keith Manigan (USA) and Paul Wells (UK).
Hans Ostrø was
beheaded on
13 August 1995 in Kashmir. The
Islamic group
Al Faran claimed responsibility for the killing. Ostrø was 27 years old.
