Igor Bondarevsky

Igor Zakharovich Bondarevsky (May 12, 1913, Rostov-on-the-Don, RussiaJune 14, 1979, Piatigorsk) was a Soviet Russian chess grandmaster in both over the board and correspondence chess, International Judge, trainer and author of chess books. He played in nine USSR Chess Championships between 1937 and 1963, being jointly first in 1940 (with Andor Lilienthal).

His wife, Valentina Kozlovskaya, was a notable chess player, too.
