Indira (film)



Indira (1996) is a feature film, in Tamil, directed by Suhasini. This film's score and soundtrack is composed by A. R. Rahman. Cinematography of the film is handled by Santosh Sivan. Upon release, the film did well commercially, and was particularly well received in Tokyo, Japan.

Plot

The film revolves around a group of villagers from Maranur, India, and their clash with a neighbouring village leader, as their community begins to prosper. Soon money and greed threaten a will for peaceful coexistence between the two rivalling communities. The film stars Anuradha Haasan, sister of the director Suhasini, as well as Arvind Swamy and Nasser in lead roles.
