Jesús Baigorri JalónJesús Baigorri-Jalón is a former staff conference interpreter at the United Nations in New York. AchievementsHe is the author of Naciones Unidas (Nueva York, Estados Unidos) - Servicio de Traducción - Historia or Interpreters at the United Nations: A History. The book was the first of its kind. The English version was translated from Spanish by Anne Barr, published by Ediciones Universidad Salamanca in 2004. Baigorri-Jalón was born in Alberite, La Rioja, Spain in 1953. He has a Master's degree in History and a Ph.D. in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Salamanca. He also worked at the Interpreting Section at the Department of Translation and Interpretation of the University of Salamanca. He is also the author of La interpretación de conferencias: el nacimiento de una profesión, de Paris a Nuremberg published by Granada: Comares in 2000. The latter, which was written in Spanish has a French version, De Paris a Nuremberg: Naissance de l'interprétation de conférences.
