John Morris, 1st Baronet of Clasemont
Sir John Morris, Baronet of Clasemont is a
Welsh industrialist. He was the son of
Robert Morris, a
Shropshire entrepreneur. John Morris came to swansea in
1726 to start a copper works.
Morris built the initial streets of Morris Town which is now known as
Morriston.
