John Reid (music)

John Reid is a Scottish manager and music industry figure currently living and working in Australia.

Between 1975 and 1978, Reid was the manager of British rock group Queen. For some 25 years he was the manager of Elton John, but their relationship ended with acrimonous legal action in 2000 [1].

In Australia, he is best known for being a judge on the local version of The X Factor.

Reid is openly homosexual and had a long-term relationship with Elton John.
