Kasuf
Like the other members of his tribe he followed
Ra and believed that he is a god. When the first Stargate expedition arrived on the planet, he believed that they were sent by Ra because
Daniel Jackson wore an amulet with Ra's symbol on it. However when Ra arrived he sent two
Death gliders to attack the village, which convinces Kasuf that they shouldn't have helped the visitors - however his children
Skaara and
Sha're thought different about it and both of them started to realize that Ra was not a god. So they helped
Col. O'Neill and his team fight against Ra's
Jaffa, much to their father's shock but when Daniel shows him that under the masks of the Jaffa are normal humans he also starts to realize that Ra is not a god. So he and his tribe attack Ra's Jaffa, thus saving the Stargate team and his son. ("
Stargate")
A year after the planet was freed from slavery by Ra, Daniel had married Sha're, thus making Kasuf his father-in-law. However when O'Neill and his people returned, the people of Abydos were attacked by
Apophis and Kasuf's children Sha're and Skaara were kidnapped and became hosts for the
Goa'uld. ("
Children of the Gods")
Another year later, Sha're returned carrying a
Harcesis child and Kasuf helped Daniel Jackson hide the child from Apophis. ("
Secrets")
Kasuf, together with other members of his tribe, is one year later captured by
Amonet, the Goa'uld who controls his daughter. However
SG-1 rescues them but during this operation
Teal'c is forced to kill Amonet and thus Sha're to safe Daniel's life. ("
Forever in a Day")
Kasuf calls SG-1 back one year later after he and other members of his tribe heard a strange wind whispering Sha're's name. It turns out that this "wind" is in fact his grandchild
Shifu - the Harcesis. ("
Absolute Power")
Abydos' human settlement and the
Stargate were destroyed by the
System Lord Anubis a few years later, but its people were
ascended to a higher plane of existence by
Oma Desala. ("
Full Circle"). After the
System Lord Anubis destroyed
Abydos, like all the other Abydonians, Kasuf also ascended along with them, by the help of
Oma Desala.
