United States. The population was 63 at the 2000 census. Kathryn was founded in
1900.

census of 2000, there were 63 people, 29 households, and 18 families residing in the city. The
population density was 41.2/km² (106.1/mi²). There were 43 housing units at an average density of 28.1/km² (72.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00%
White.
There were 29 households out of which 17.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.7% were
married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.5% were non-families. 31.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.17 and the average family size was 2.58.
In the city the population was spread out with 14.3% under the age of 18, 3.2% from 18 to 24, 28.6% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 31.7% who were 65 years of age or older.
