Kathryn Dean (née Fisher) is a Flinders University graduate in Adelaide, and has an extensive professional career in film, television, radio and stage. Kathryn is well known for her work as community news announcer and voice-overs for former Adelaide radio station 5AD. Kathryn has worked alongside other well known actors such as Sam Neill (Robbery Under Arms), Brenton Whittle (Sara Dane) and onstage with the likes of Kerry Walker & Amanda Muggleton (Blithe Spirit) and Nicholas Bishop (A Streetcar Named Desire). Kathryn performed in the lead as Queen Lear in an adaptation of Shakespeare's King Lear at the 2006 Adelaide Fringe Festival, and played the Old Lady in Sondheim's Sunday In The Park With George for State Opera in 2005. Kathryn runs a media and performing arts college in Adelaide, and specialises in voice training for radio presenting/ radio plays, television presentation, public speaking, character voices and other microphone and on-camera techniques.
