Legendarium

Legendarium is an obscure medieval Latin word for a book or series of books consisting of a collection of legends. It was originally used most commonly in reference to texts detailing legends about the lives of saints.

The word was also used by J. R. R. Tolkien to describe the totality of his artificial mythology of Middle-earth. Because the word is seldom now used for other purposes it has sometimes been mistakenly ascribed to Tolkien.
