Lil Romeo (rapper)

For the British rapper "Romeo" see the So Solid Crew

Percy Romeo Miller, Jr. (born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 19, 1989) is a rapper and actor. The son of multi-millionaire rapper, producer and powerful entertainment mogul Master P, he records teen-friendly hip-hop music on his father's Guttar Music label. He is best known by his stage name, Romeo, formely Lil' Romeo.

He has so far released three studio album's and one compilation album. His fourth album "God's Gift" has not yet set an exact release date. It has been pushed back over 10 times due to unsuccessful single sales. And most likely without a successful single the album sales will plummet.

He also stars in his own Nickelodeon television show, Romeo!. Romeo also played a small role in the movie Max Keeble's Big Move and the 2004 movie Honey. Lil' Romeo rivals rap star Bow Wow. However, recently Bow Wow's and Romeo's rivalry has escalated. This was due to a line that Bow Wow rapped in his video "Fresh Azimiz", which stated that he is only 18 and making "mo than 'yo dad" which some took as referring to Romeo's father rap mogul Master P, but Bow Wow later said it was a line borrowed from a classic LL Cool J track. As a result Romeo responded with the track/video "Hood Star (You Can't shine like me)".

He was recently invited to the Reebok-sponsored ABCD, considered the premier basketball camp in the United States. The Teaneck, New Jersey-based ABCD camp is an invitation-only basketball showcase that has produced a host of high-profile players, including Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Stephon Marbury, Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James.

Romeo's hard work paid off that week as the high school sophomore made the all-star team and ranked among the top 20 underclassmen in the country. The rapper, who hones his ball skills and shooting daily in addition to lifting weights, averaged 20 points and 10 assists per game.

Romeo plans to go to college. According to Master P, Romeo, who boasts a 3.5 grade point average, turned down a $3 million movie deal this summer to go to summer school and play AAU basketball.
