*The most famous fictional character in the history of movies is left-handed: the Little Tramp, played by
Charlie Chaplin in nearly all of his films, ending with
Modern Times. All the later roles played by Chaplin are also left-handed, including
Monsieur Verdoux and Adenoid Hynkel,
the Great Dictator. In several of his films, Chaplin plays a left-handed violin: the chin rest and the sounding post are reversed, and the strings are in reverse order.
