Lives No Longer Ours
Lives No Longer Ours (2006) is a 'romantic drama of loss' set in 1650. Filmed on location in and around Loveland Castle in
Loveland, Ohio, it is about an adventurer, Capt. Jameson Macaulay, who returns to his castle after nine months away fighting to take down his deceased wife's portrait. He has decided to remarry, but his long first night back is filled with revelations about his wife's death in childbirth, and it ends in a spectacular swordfight at dawn with his prospective brother-in-law that forces him into coming to terms with his loss.
The film stars Australian actor
Paul Sanderson as Capt. Jameson Macaulay, and it was produced by the New York-based co-writer Barbara Briggs for Phaethon World-Stage Co. Pictures. The trailer for "Lives No Longer Ours" has been featured by Sony Corp. at the Sundance and Cinequest Film Festivals.
