Long Sutton, Lincolnshire

Long Sutton is a village in South Holland, south Lincolnshire. It is now bypassed by the busy A17. It is close to the Wash, and the landscape is noticeably flat. It has a population of around five thousand. Dick Turpin stayed here for nine months.

The village pubs are the Olde Ship Inn on London Road, the Crown & Woolpack on the High Street, and the Corn Exchange on Market Street. There is a Coop in the Market Place.

The Peele School is an under-performing secondary modern.
