Louise Vallance
Louise Vallance (born
Stephanie Louise Vallance) is a
Canadian actress and singer born in
Montreal,
Quebec.
In the 1980s, Vallance co-starred in the Canadian crime drama series
Night Heat which was also broadcast in the
United States. She also became a prolific
voice actor, and her voice can be heard in such
animated series as
The Care Bears (as Proud Heart Cat),
Popples,
ReBoot,
Donkey Kong Country,
Madeline,
Shadow Raiders, and
InuYasha. While starring in
Night Heat, she also co-starred as a very different character, Whazzat Kangaroo, in the
children's show Zoobilee Zoo. She also did dialogue direction in
Madeline.
Vallance is a singer of stylized
jazz and is in charge of Tooned In! Productions. In the 1990s, she starred in the acclaimed one-woman musical,
A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline playing the
title role, touring Canada and recording a soundtrack album for the show. In the early 2000s, Vallance changed her professional name to
Stevie Vallance (she was credited as such in
Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-lot and
The Care Bears' Big Wish Movie, playing Share Bear).
