Lyari Expressway

Lyari Expressway is a highway being built along the Lyari River in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. This toll highway is designed to relieve congestion in the city of Karachi. Its construction has also displaced nearly 250,000 people who lived along the Lyari river.

Lyari Expressway is a 16 km expressway would comprise of 4-lanes on both sides, with two interchanges, five flyovers and five under-passes. Moreover, two lanes each would be constructed on either bank of the Lyari River. The project aims to serve as a commuting artery connecting Mauripur Road and Super Highway and alleviate the burden of traffic plying between Karachi Port and Super Highway leading to up country.
