Mwami

Mwami is the chiefly title in Kirundi and Kinyarwanda, the Congolese Nande and Bashi languages, and various other Bantu languages, such as the Tonga language (spoken in Zambia and Zimbabwe). The word is usually translated as king. It can refer to:
* the King of Rwanda
* the King of Burundi
* the traditional chiefs of the small kingdoms in the Nord-Kivu, Sud-Kivu and Maniema provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
* the traditional chiefs of the "Bantu Botatwe" (three peoples) of Zambia (namely, the Ila, the Lenje and the Tonga peoples)
