United States. The population was 1,953 at the 2000 census.

mi²). 104.1 km² (40.2 mi²) of it is land and 3.3 km² (1.3 mi²) of it (3.06%) is water.

census2 of 2000, there were 1,953 people, 768 households, and 543 families residing in the town. The
population density was 18.8/km² (48.6/mi²). There were 851 housing units at an average density of 8.2/km² (21.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.52%
