United States. The population was 1,953 at the 2000 census.

census2 of 2000, there were 1,953 people, 768 households, and 543 families residing in the town. The
population density was 18.8/km² (48.6/mi²). There were 851 housing units at an average density of 8.2/km² (21.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.52%
