Paul Waaktaar-Savoy

Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (born September 6, 1961, in Manglerud, Oslo, Norway) is the guitarist, and primary songwriter, of the Norwegian pop band a-ha.

He married the filmmaker Lauren Savoy in 1991. Together with his wife Lauren, and drummer Frode Unneland, he also performs in the band Savoy.

His birthname is Pål Waaktaar Gamst, but he was generally known under the name Pål Waaktaar prior to marrying Lauren Savoy.

In 1998 he produced the track "Tyve null tre" for Norwegian language rock legends deLillos and their compilation album "Gamle sanger om igjen".
