Pearry Green
Pearry Green was born on
July 1,
1933 in
Louisiana. He lived in
Texas during his early years and in
1965 moved to
Tucson, Arizona where he founded and is the current pastor of
Tucson Tabernacle. He has been instrumental in helping to spread the story of the life, ministry and teachings of
William M. Branham, an associate and personal friend whose family has attended Green's church in Tucson since Branham's death in 1965. He has written
"Acts of the Prophet" that has been published in several languages.
He was almost expelled from school for saying that
Jerry Lee Lewis' music was worldly. But Jerry said to the dean that "He didn't know what I as going to do." Years later Pearry asked Jerry "Are you still playing the devil's music?" Jerry replied "Yes, I am. But you know it's strange, the same music that they kicked me out of school for is the same kind of music they play in their churches today. The difference is, I know I am playing for the devil and they don't."
Pearry Green has had and continues to have a worldwide ministry.
