* A reference to the Atlantic Ocean, often used to describe events in the United States or United Kingdom ("...across the pond").
* A now obsolete metric unit of force equal to a gram-force, usually used as kilopond (Like pound, the term derives from the Latin pondus or weight). See kilogram-force.
* A historic unit of currency used in the Orange Free State, the South African Republic, and New Griqualand. It is derived from both Afrikaans and Dutch language. It later became the equivalent word for Pound sterling.
* Pond is the name of a rock music band, see Pond (band).
* The Pond River in Kentucky in the United States
* A slang term referring to an ice rink used for ice hockey, figure skating, etc.
