*in physics and electronics, radio transmission by electrical conduction through a transmission medium for wave propagation via the motion of waves.
*in digital circuits, propagation delay is the time between input and output of logic gates.
*in chemistry, a description of the catalytically-driven process of polymer elongation.
*in genetics, propagation is another term for the elongation part of transcription.

*in the DNS, the automatic retrieval of DNS zone files from a domain's nameservers.
*Copying and distributing free software in a manner explicitly permitted under the applicable license
