Red Ranger
Red Ranger is a designation given to one character in every season of the
Power Rangers TV series. The Red Ranger is usually the leader of the team, and they also receive the most powerful weapons. The Red Ranger's main weapon traditionally is a sword, but some have used blasters. It is the tradition since
Power Rangers: In Space for the Red Ranger to have
Battlizer Armor, a special suit operated by a special device on the Red Ranger's wrist. It is also tradition in the series to have the Red Ranger face off against the enemy's best general:

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
* Andros against Ecliptor in
Power Rangers: In Space.
* Leo against Furio in
Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy.
* Carter against Olympius in

Red Power Rangers respectively, in
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Jason was among the other Red Rangers in
Forever Red. Rocky later on becomes a
Blue Ranger in the
Power Rangers: Zeo team, while Jason later becomes the Gold Ranger. See the

Red Wild West Ranger when
Kimberly Hart was transported through time and had to fight a monster in the past. He only held his powers for a single episode, after which the Power Coins were returned to Zordon and Alpha 5 so they could be earned by the Power Rangers in the 1990s.
