RMS Caronia

The RMS Caronia was a 34,183 ton Cruise ship of the Cunard Line. Launched on October 30 1947, she served with Cunard until 1967. She got the nickname "The Green Goddess" from the fact that her hull was painted four shades of light green. She was sold a number of times with all of its owners hoping to refit her as a cruise ship again. Sold for scrap in 1974, she broke into three and sank on August 12 outside Apra Harbor, Guam while being towed to Taiwan.
