Rosa Albach-Retty

Rosa Albach-Retty (December 26, 1874 - August 26, 1980) was an Austrian movie and stage actress. Her birth name was the slightly cumbersome Rosa Clara Franziska Helene Albach-Retty. She made her first film appearance in 1930, with Money on the Street, and made her last appearance in 1956's Congress Dances. She is mainly remembered today as actress Romy Schneider's paternal grandmother. She died in 1980 at the age of 105. Rosa Albach-Retty - is mother of Wolf Albach-Retty,grandmother of Romy Schneider and greatgrandmother of Sarah Biasini.She was marry to Karl Albach.Her son Wolf was an austrian movie actor who maried german movie actress Magda Schneider in 1936.Rosa Albach-Retty is also grandmother of Romy's brother Wolf Dietrich Albach-Retty and greatgrandmother of Romy's son David Haubenstock.
