Sixth World

The Sixth World is the next world in Mexica mythology. According to the Mexica, time is cyclical, so the end of one world is the beginning of the next. The Mexica believed we currently inhabit the Fifth World, so the next world would be the sixth.

Based on this, Shadowrun's setting is called "the Sixth World."
